Luego de ponerle el cinturón a la filial argentina, el laboratorio japonés Takeda designó a un nuevo número uno en el país.
Se trata de Jack Kassis Makdsi, que viene desde Takeda Venezuela, donde cumplía el rol de director Comercial.
El nuevo ejecutivo remplaza al alemán Wolfgang Schmidt que estuvo los últimos 12 años en Takeda Argentina, ocho como CFO y los cuatro últimos como gerente general.
Kassis deberá hacerle frente a una Takeda reducida que busca su rumbo en la Argentina. Ver artículo.
Los motivos que encontraron los japoneses para achicarse fue que evaluaron como caros los resultados de sus costos de producción.
Sucedió que tras el cierre de la planta de producción de HLB Pharma en el barrio porteño de Belgrano, se vieron compelidos a buscar otra unidad de control de calidad, ya que subarrendaban dicha planta.
Se instalaron a principios de año en la unidad de logística de la empresa Cruz del Sur ubicada en el Mercado Central, donde operara la ex Wyeth.
La cotización del dólar también sin duda pesó en las últimas decisiones de Takeda, al igual que sucedió con Baxter. Mientras, otras multis intentan hacer equilibrio. Ver artículo.

Takeda: Wolfgang Out, Kassis In
After working on the reduction of the Argentine subsidiary, the Japanese laboratory Takeda appointed a new number one in the country.
It is Jack Kassis Makdsi, who was the commercial director of Takeda Venezuela.
The new executive replaces the German Wolfgang Schmidt, who was with Takeda Argentina for the last 12 years—the first 8 years as CFO and the last 4 years as general manager.
Kassis should deal with a reduced Takeda that is looking for direction in Argentina. See article.
The reasons for the reduction were that the Japanese considered that their production costs were high.
After the shutdown of HLB Pharma’s production plant in Belgrano neighborhood, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, they were compelled to search for another Quality Control unit, since they sublet this plant.
At the beginning of the year, they settled in the Logistics unit of the company Cruz del Sur, which is located at the Central Market, where ex Wyeth operated.
The dollar quotation certainly influenced the latest decisions made by Takeda as well, as it happened in the case of Baxter. Meanwhile, other multinationals try to strike a balance. See article.
