Los laboratorios de genéricos Fada Pharma y Northia que fueran adquiridos por los chilenos de Recalcine, fueron finalmente fusionados.
¿El nuevo nombre? Laboratorio Internacional Argentino será el nombre que adoptarán ambas compañías combinadas. Aunque falta el OK final de la Inspección General de Justicia para dar por terminado dicho proceso.
La nueva empresa seguirá conducida por el chileno Patricio Rabinovich y la headquarter permanecerá en Quilmes, donde está la central de Fada Pharma.
Parece mentira que desaparezcan del mercado los genéricos de Northia y Fada Pharma que hicieran furor durante la gestión del ex ministro de Salud Ginés González García, en la que los “similares” tuvieran su apogeo.
Northia había sido fundado en 1957 por las familias Rappaport, Aguilar y Bortnik y estaba enfocado en licitaciones públicas y en la venta en el sector hospitalario.
En 2002, cuando los genéricos estuvieron en el centro de la escena, Northia fue adquirido por el fondo Southern Cross conducido por Norberto Morita. Ver artículo

The death of Fada and Northia: merged and with a new name

Fada Pharma and Northia, two generic pharmaceuticals manufacturers acquired by the Chilean company Recalcine, recently merged.
The new name? “Laboratorio Internacional Argentino” will be the moniker assumed by the combination of the two companies, pending the approval of the Corporate Control Authority (Inspección General de Justica).
The new company will continue being lead by Chilean Patricio Rabinovich, and the headquarters will stay in Quilmes, where the central office of Fada Pharma is located.
It’s hard to believe that the Northia and Fada Pharma generics will disappear from the market, seeing that they did so well during the administration of former Health Minister Ginés González García, when the “similares” had their heyday.
Northia was founded in 1957 by the Rappaport, Aguilar and Bortnik families, and primarily focused on public bids and sales to the hospital sector.
In 2002, when generics were front and center, Northia was acquired by the Southern Cross Group, headed by Norberto Morita. See Article
